The conjuring Tango With his program consisting of traditional, classic and new Argentinean tango Fernando Miceli suggests an answer to his search for his cultural roots as well as a seek of an interpretative synthesis preserving the tango spirit. The Tango stories and the strength of their protagonists can be found in the modern Tango interpretation of Miceli and his musicians. This occurs without leaving the traditional Tango structures. Fernando Miceli and his ensemble Tango Juramento present a music which was influenced by the descendents of those immigrants, who came shipped in droves to the ports of Buenos Aires and Montevideo. With these immigrants arrived also their cultural variety which, fusioning with the local patrimony, caused the formation of a new musical and poetical style: the Tango These are songs from a harsh time and they tell stories about the yearning of the missed homeland. Melancholy, betrayal, lost love as well as the disheartened justice of the "Malevos", the argentines "mick the knife", are reflected in the tangos.
